The R4 Madrid South motorway covers 54 Km of toll motorway between the M-50 Madrid ring road and Ocaña, and 41 Km of M-50 Madrid and connecting sections that are toll free. Situated in a highly developed urban area, this is an alternative access road to Madrid on a very congested route.
The construction of Overhead Passes on the access motorway to Madrid has 27 structures to be built on site using 4 units. The structures have brackets on the pillars which make shoring difficult, covering large spans due to the gradients of the slopes. To solve the problem of the brackets, the base formwork has been separated from the wing section, so that they have independent supports.
